How do I integrate PayPal with my website?

Your website supports the PayPal Website Payments Standard solution. Once you have setup your account with PayPal please follow the steps below to integrate PayPal with your website.

  1. Login to your PayPal Business Account.
  2. Go to My Account > Profile > My Selling Tools > Websites Preferences > Update
  3. Set Auto Return = On
  4. Set Return URL = https://ssl.webforcefive.com.au/paypalConfirm.aspx
  5. Set Payment Data Transfer = On
  6. Set Encrypted Website Payments = Off
  7. Set PayPal Account Optional = Off (Important: this must be set to 'off', else PayPal won't work correctly with your website )
  8. Set Contact Telephone Number = Off
  9. Set PayPal Express Checkout Settings = No
  10. Click Save
  11. This will give you an "Identity Token" on the screen, please copy this.
  12. If this is not displayed, go to Website preferences as per Step 2 and check under Payment Data Transfer.
  13. Login to your Admin site and go to Settings > Shopping Options > Payment Settings
  14. Under "Other options to accept payments" tick "Credit Cards via PayPal / PayPal Account"
  15. Click the "+" button
  16. Enter your PayPal business account email address and the Identity Token copied earlier into the respective fields.
  17. Click Save
Always test any payment set up arrangements. You may create a hidden $1 test product so that you can test your payment arrangements after the website is live or when you are ready to sell online.
