Setup Shipping Options

You will need to setup one or more of the below shipping options if shipping is not included in the cost of your products.

There are four different areas for setting up shipping -  Region, Method, Group & Range.

Please see each section below for descriptions & step-by-step instructions.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Login to your administration website
  2. Select Shopping
  3. Select Shipping Options

A. Set Regions
 

Region is the location that the goods will be delivered to (e.g. Australia wide, based on set range of Australian postcodes, selected international countries etc.)
  1. Select Set Regions
  2. Edit existing region or Click Add New
  3. Insert itle
  4. Select Australian postcodes or International from the drop down menu
  5. Select postcode(s) or country(s)
  6. Select Shipping Method(s)
  7. Select Shipping Group(s)
  8. Click Save
If the shipping cost will be different based on the location that it is shipped to, you will need to create a region for each of these locations. E.g. Interstate or internationally may attract a higher total shipping cost.


B. Set Methods
 

Method is the way that the goods will be shipped (e.g. Standard Post, Express Post, Courier, Pickup in store etc.)
  1. Select Set Methods
  2. Edit existing method or Click Add New
  3. Insert title
  4. Select/Edit Shipping Region(s)
  5. Select/Edit Shipping Group(s)
  6. Click Save

C. Set Ranges
 

Ranges help dictate what determines the shipping cost. You only need to setup one of the four Range options below.


Flat rate

Charges a single fixed shipping fee regardless of usage
  1. Select Set Ranges
  2. Click Add New
  3. Insert title
    1. E.g. $10 flat rate shipping
  4. Select flat rate for the type of range from the drop down list
  5. Click Save

Weight Range (kg)

Shipping based on Weight allows you to specify shipping costs for orders based on the total weight of the cart. Your shopping cart will add the total weight of all the products within the customer's cart and provide a shipping cost based on the total weight of the products & the ranges that you allocate in this section.
  1. Select Set Ranges
  2. Click Add New
  3. Insert title
    1. E.g. Orders between 0kg-5kg
  4. Select Weight Range (kg) for the type of range from the drop down list
  5. Insert the maximum weight value for this range
    1. E.g. 5 (kg)
  6. Insert the maximum volume (sqcm) value for this range (if applicable)
    1. This example, volume is not applicable, value is 0
  7. Click Save
  8. Repeat steps 1-6 until you have all of the weight ranges setup
Every weight variation needs to be setup separately. E.g. orders under 5kg, between 5kg-10kg, between 10kg-20kg etc. If the total order weight exceeds the maximum weight setup in ranges, the shipping cost will default to $0. It is important that you setup costs for weights higher than you expect you will ever sell to ensure the shipping does not default to $0.


Order Value Range

Shipping is calculated based on the total amount ($) your customer spends in the checkout.
This range is generally used to offer discounted or free shipping for orders over a nominated value spent in the cart.
  1. Select Set Ranges
  2. Click Add New
  3. Insert title
  4. Select Order Value Range for the type of range from the drop down list
  5. Insert the maximum value ($) for this range
    1. E.g. 50 ($)
  6. Click Save
  7. Repeat steps 1-5 until you have all of the order value ranges setup

Every order value range needs to be setup separately.
E.g. Orders under $50, Spend between $50-$100, Spend between $100-$200 etc.


Number of Items Range

Shipping is calculated based on the total number of items your customer purchases in the checkout.
This range is generally used to offer discounted or free shipping for orders over a nominated value of total items in the cart.
  1. Select Set Ranges
  2. Click Add New
  3. Insert title
  4. Select Number of Items Range for the type of range from the drop down list
  5. Insert the maximum number of items for this range
    1. E.g. 10 (number of items)
  6. Click Save
  7. Repeat steps 1-5 until you have all of the number of items ranges setup 

Every number of items range needs to be setup separately.
E.g. Orders under 10 items, Orders between 10-20 items, Orders between 20-50 items etc.

 

D. Set Groups
 

Grouping is the setup of a classification for type of product(s) for shipping. E.g. A range of products that were unable to be posted could be in a “Courier Only" group the rest of the products would be in a “Standard Product" group.
  1. Select Set Groups
  2. Edit existing group or Click Add New
  3. Insert title
  4. Select products to allocate to the group
  5. Select/Edit Shipping Region(s)
  6. Select/Edit Shipping Method(s)
  7. Click Save
Each product must belong to at least one group.
If you create a group for a selection of products, you must also create another group for the remaining products.


E. Set Shipping Rates

  1. Select Set Shipping Rates
  2. Select Region from the drop down
  3. Insert price for all of the ranges
  4. Select Methods from the tabs
  5. Insert price for all of the ranges
