Can the shopping cart manage “out of stock” items?
Yes, there is a very basic level of inventory / stock control available in the Content Management System. You are able to specify a quantity in stock for the base products in the website (not for variations of the product).
If the product gets sold out an "out of stock" message will be displayed to the next user trying to buy that product.
It is important to note that it does not take in to account stock purchased via other sales channels and does not integrate with third party inventory management systems.
You will need to request your Account Manager to have this option enabled for you.
