For the inner content pages of your website the following will be ideal for your images:

1. Dimensions: A minimum of width of 450px
2. Format: JPG or PNG format
3. Resolution: 72 dpi (standard for websites)
4. File Size: 3MB or less

More often than not these images will be smaller in size than your main image banner on your home page. So images with around 450px in width should be fine. If you are able to source larger images than this then you can then use these images in other marketing collateral that you might want to produce.
