Can I use any font on my website?

No, there are only a limited number of web-safe fonts that can be used on your website.

Websites source fonts from your computer or an external file on the Internet. So if a computer that someone is viewing your website on doesn’t have that particular font, it won’t display the same way. We currently use Google fonts for the majority of our designs which offer a wide variety of styles to suit your branding.

Your designer will guide you on the selection of font during your design meeting. When your designer implements your website design, the heading and body fonts will be setup as defaults for consistency. So any web page that you add text or headings into the font, style and size settings will flow through automatically.

We do not recommend using more than 2 different types of web fonts on your site to ensure faster page loading times and also to keep a professional look and feel. Although the Rich Text Editor of the website allows you to manually select a different font for your body text we would still recommend that you stick with a single font - which is the default chosen by you and the designer.

If you need to change the default font settings on your existing website you will need to speak to your Account Manager or Designer to arrange this. A fee may apply depending on the changes required.
