What is the scoping & development process for the creation of specific functionality?
In order to accurately quote, scope and develop the specific functionality requested by you, the following process applies.
- Initial Discussion (30 minutes)
- Establish whether the functionality request is something that we would consider. No charge.
- Initial Scoping Meeting (1 hour)
- Detailed discussion to clarify the scope of the funtionality.
- Scoping fee of $2,500 payable upfront (non-refundable).
- Technical staff research the feasablility of the functionality request and develop a price range style document for consideration.
- This step involves up to 3 hours of research and documentation
- If you decide that the cost range presented is within your budget and we have determined that the functionality development is feasable, you may elect to go to the next stage (Detailed Scoping Meeting).
- Scoping fee is partially or fully offset if you proceed to the development phase.
- Detailed Scoping Meeting (2 hours)
- Decide on the exact functionality configuration from a list of options and/or ideas generated within the meeting.
- We will have agreed at this stage on a cost range for the development of the functionality.
- We will also have agreed on a payment schedule, milestones and deliverables for the development of the funtionality.
- Development
- Development will start as per development plan once the quote / first installment has been paid.
- Review Meetings
- Up to 30 minutes for each agreed phase of development.
- This will provide you a summary of progress.
- Final Deployment
- A deployment date will be confirmed for the availability of the functionality on your live website.
- This is subject to any payment terms in place at the start of the process.
- The functionality will be tested post-deployment and enabled on your website.
- A guide will be provided for the new functionality.
