How do I bulk resize my images to reduce file size and dimensions?

You will need to resize your images if the image file size is too large to insert into your homepage banner or content pages, if the uploading time is slow or if while uploading an image the system times-out.

Below you will find step by step instructions for both Microsoft Windows & Mac to resize multiple images quickly & in bulk.

Step-by-Step Instructions

A. Microsoft Windows

  1. Download and Install the free picture resizing tool (PIXresizer) from here
  2. Move all of the images you wish to resize into a folder on your computer
  3. Open PIXresizer on your computer.
  4. Click on the "Working with Multiple Files" tab
  5. Click Source to select the folder that contains your images.
  6. Click "Destination" to choose which folder you want to save your resized photos in.
  7. Select new size
  8. Select File Format (Recommended option: JPEG, alternatively PNG)
  9. Select Save Pictures
  10. Wait till the save process has been completed.
  11. Click Exit to close the program

B. Mac

  1. Open in Preview all of the images you want resized
  2. Select Tools, then Adjust size
  3. Enter a value for what you want the new width and height to be
  4. Select Save all from File
    1. To save a new version of the images, choose Export Selected Images
