Appending content to the top or bottom of a page

This guide will show you how you can manipulate the content layouts to create a variety of additional placeholders for text and images.

Appending content is great for creating more complex pages outside of the templates provided, or adding on more information or links above or below image galleries. This is a perfect way to create 'Next' and 'Previous' buttons at the bottom of an image gallery to link it to a different gallery.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Login to your administration website
  2. Select Content, Edit Content
  3. Select the folder of navigation which will expand with all content allocated within
  4. Select the content piece you would like to edit (if editing a Sub Navigation tab now Click the tab title)
  5. On the Layout tab click either "Add content to the top of this layout" or Add content to the bottom of this layout.
  6. Click Proceed to confirm you want to append additional content
  7. Click on either Simple or Image Gallery to view options
  8. Select your preferred layout
  9. Click larger example to add
  10. This will then appear added onto your page
  11. Customise text and / image(s)
  12. Click Done
  13. Click Next to specify Location
  14. Click Next to specify Options
  15. Click Next to specify Search Engine options
  16. Click Finish
Note: While it is not possible to simultaneously add in content layouts about and below the page, you can add in more placeholders after successfully doing it once. If you find you need to add multiples of the same layout then you should consider using a modular page layout instead (click here for more infomation).
