How do I claim my Google Places Page?
If you can see that you already have a Google Places Page listing, it is important to claim it, so that you can edit and optimise.
“Claiming a Google Places Page” mostly applies in situations when there has been an automated listing through Yellow Pages or similar directories, that created your Google Places Page already. This means Google has created the page for you from using information about your business from these directories.
You can see if the page has been created by a directory, because it will tell you on the page. E.g. “Business Listing Provided by Yellow Pages" in screenshot 1.
In some cases, the Google Places Page may have been created by someone else on your behalf, if so, you will need to track down this person or Create a New Google Places Page.
If there is no listing for your business then you must create a new one, or follow steps below for claiming your Google Places Page.
