What is a Google Places Page?
Google Place Pages are pages with a map of your business location and your business details, usually phone number and website.
These pages appear in location/map based searches in Google.
Businesses can maximise their exposure to location based searches in the search engines if their Google Places page is optimised well.
Google Place pages can be optimised with hours of operations, photos, YouTube videos, descriptions and more.
For an example of a Google Places Business Page, please refer to screenshot 2.
Google Places helps businesses be found through organic search results through relevant user queries. For example if you were to search for, 'self storage melbourne', Google Places will appear, with a list of self storage businesses in Melbourne, please see screenshot 1. Users can then view each of these listing's business pages for more details.
Google Place pages also gives users the ability to leave reviews. This can help boost your credibility and visibility. If you have a Google Places page, you can invite your favourite customers to leave a great review.
