What does my monthly website licence and hosting fee include?

  1. Website Hosting

    1. Your website is hosted in a very secure (Tier 1) hosting environment in some of the best data centres in Australia.
    2. This ensures your website stays live 24/7 (excluding scheduled maintenance).
    3. This includes the hosting of your website and website database.
  2. Bandwidth (Traffic) & Storage

    1. There is a cost associated with the transferring of data from a website to a website visitor (so website visitors can see the content)
    2. Your monthly hosting plan gives you a certain website traffic allowance each month for this.
    3. If you exceed the website traffic allowance, your Account Manager will contact your first rather than sending an excess usage bill.
    4. Your Account Manager will discuss your traffic trends and advise you further on your options.
    5. You can then make an informed decision to either stay on the same hosting plan or upgrade to a plan that suits your requirements.
    6. If you stay on the same plan and exceed website traffic allowance the next time then we will invoice you for the excess charges.
    7. Storage of information via the CMS (database, files, images, etc) is unlimited on all of our plans.
  3. Daily Backups

    1. Your website data is securely backed up on daily basis.
    2. This is securely stored on-site and off-site (in a data vault).
  4. Software Licence

    1. Your monthly fee includes the licence to the Content Management System.
    2. It also includes the use of shared SSL (security certificate) with your shopping cart for secure transactions.
  5. Free Software Upgrades

    1. We provide free ongoing software upgrades to the Content Management System for all clients.
    2. These upgrades are determined based on the feedback we receive from our customers.
    3. These enhancements are developed for free as part of the ongoing improvement processes we have in place for our website software.
  6. Free Guidance & Support

    1. As part of hosting your website with us you receive 45 minutes of proactive support each month by an Australian Account Manager.
    2. Your Account Manager will schedule this time with you and an agenda is created based on your website priorities.
    3. This time is designed to ensure that your website is doing what is required to support your business objectives.
    4. This time is not for completing tasks or creating content on your behalf (additional costs apply if you wish for us to do this).
    5. Bug fixes and responses to occasional enquiries is also free and excluded from the 45 minutes of allocated time each month.

 

Notes / Tips: Please note that the monthly fee does not include the registration of a domain name, emails or DNS hosting. Please contact your Account Manager if anything is not clear in relation to what is included in the monthly licence and hosting fee.
